Biodigging in the dirt.
Much of this journal may be locked and is intended mostly for personal use. though if you can relate to anything here, I'd love to hear about it. Not feeling so alone is an important part of recovery.
I'm a fledgling Buddhist going on a year now. I identify strongest with the Therevadan tradition but I love to read Pema Chodron and I'm open to learning about other schools. I take daily refuge in the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha and try to sit in meditation for at least a half an hour in the mornings and evenings, though sometimes I slip. I am not actively affiliated with any sangha presently but it's my intention to get into the habit and find a community.
I am an adult child of an alcoholic home. I'm learning to accept that it has had a profound effect on my life. I'm not a strict adherent to the 12 steps but I do see many useful parallels between the program and Buddhism.
